Step Up Receives $150,000 Innovation Grant from National Nonprofit Accelerate to Support In-School Tutoring Pilot

Last week was a milestone week for Step Up, as we were awarded our first national foundation grant from Accelerate, a national education nonprofit working to make tutoring a standard feature of the American school day. Step Up was awarded a $150,000 Innovation grant which will support our in-school math tutoring pilot with The Mission Preparatory School, an award-winning charter school in San Francisco. Step Up will be included in a national cohort of innovative tutoring providers working across 20 states, and will receive research support from the National Student Support Accelerator, which will conduct an impact evaluation of the pilot.
